Welcome to Seminar Participants for Winter 2010

By now you will have acquired the course pack, and hopefully studied the downloadable syllabus  (pdf) (doc) very closely, especially as it contains sections that are not to be found on this site. In addition, please check the site regularly, for new resources added to the sessions page, and check this blog as well.

Any new resources are supplemental, not required, and may in some cases be used by the course coordinator in presentations for seminar purposes. Those undertaking research in a given topic area should find the additional resources to be useful.

Finally, seminar participants should glance at the RSS feeds, documents, and videos in the sidebars, to follow news or gather materials for their own research.

This will be an exciting and challenging course, I am glad you joined!

Can we use this blog to continue discussions from class? I often find further thoughts after class, or there isn’t enough time in class to cover some of the details.

    • Unfortunately, it is not a collaborative blog. It could be made into one actually, and I am really pleased that someone is actually thinking of this. However, I fear that many will think it is extra, extra work, and will recoil from it.
